Happy Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras week everyone! We are recovering from Liam having the flu again this past weekend so I am looking forward to a hopefully uneventful week ahead that involves no sickness! I hope you all have a great, romantic week with your special someone!
- Why do they call Terrible Two’s the Terrible Two’s? Because Liam is one and I’m pretty sure he’s throwing temper tantrums like a two year old would. Just sayin’…it’s a little misleading and I could have used a heads up. Sheesh!
- Is it bad that I’m already looking forward to decorating for Easter? I seriously have a problem. I just love all the bright, Springy colors which undoubtedly means warm(er) weather. And Cadbury Mini Eggs. I loooove Cadbury Mini Eggs.
- Roughly 5 years ago I started making Tyler and I homemade chocolate covered strawberries and I look forward to them every year. They’re so super easy and it’s insanely easy to make them at home verses paying an arm and a leg for them at the store or delivery service. Just melt chocolate and dip! Do you have any Valentine’s Day traditions?
- Is it just me or are the Winter Olympics just not as exciting as the Summer Olympics? Don’t get me wrong, we’re still watching them but I just can’t get down on watching curling or cross country skiing. Just me? And I should add that I also teared up watching Chloe Kim do her 3rd run after she already knew she won the Gold Medal and still killed it. I know, I’m a sap.
- The new season of Homeland started back up and it’s being filmed in our hometown of Richmond, VA and it’s so freaking cool! Tyler and I both loved watching the first episode and being able to pick out the different locations where they were shooting. I’m still waiting for a Claire Danes sighting though!
- What age is the appropriate age to cut the paci? I feel like we need to start limiting Liam’s paci use to naps and nighttime only as he’s really dependent on it at times. But then he has a meltdown and I give it to him and he stops freaking out so I’m like hmmmm maybe not just yet.
- Do you want to feel old? Homeward Bound was released in theaters 25 years ago.
- I want to eat this stuff by the bucketful and I’m not even typically a fan of chickpeas. I also have a small obsession with Mediterranean flavors but still. So good.
- Polly Pocket’s are making a comeback?! My 8 year old self is really excited about this!
- I got Tyler the Dollar Shave Club for Christmas and just finally ordered a razor for myself. Looking forward to seeing how nice it is to use a 6 (!!) blade razor. I may end up needing stitches though because I’m the clumsiest person around but I bet my legs will have never been smoother!
