A month or so ago I posted a poll on Instagram Stories asking if y’all would want to see a post with my favorite lip colors so your wish is my command! These are my favorite tried and true pink lip colors. Until the past few years, I was a chapstick gal (still am) but would only wear a lip color for dressy occasions and would always go for a darker color (my all-time fave is Love Child). However, I have started venturing out into lighter lip colors for the warmer months and I have to admit, I am loving them.
1. Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Petal
My all-time favorite lip color(s) ever. EVER! It’s basically a hybrid between chapstick and lipstick. It always keeps my lips feeling moisturized, protects them with SPF but adds a little pop of color so my lips don’t look washed out. Petal is the perfect color to still look semi-natural but enough that you feel like your lips are “done”. It’s also the most expensive item that I’m listing but it’s worth the money and then some. I have two and plan to buy a few different colors and the advanced therapy lip treatment as well!
2. Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Seduction
This lip color is my #2 because while it is a little drying on the lips after a while, it is the perfect nude-pink color. It even won an Allure award for the Best of Beauty award for being the best “your lips but better” color. This color will also leave a little tint on your lips after it wears off so it still gives a slight illusion of lip color. Plus, it’s super affordable so this definitely needs to be in your makeup bag!
3. NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee
Creme Brulee was the first “nude pink” lip color I ever tried after seeing Jaclyn Hill wear it in a makeup tutorial. While this is a bit “sticky” as lip glosses go, it’s a great color and, again, is super affordable. I always carry this with me in my purse just in case.
4. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul
This is the most recent purchase in this list but has quickly become a favorite. It’s definitely the most vibrant pink of the group (way more pink than the tube makes it look) but now that I’m blonde, I’m loving it! Like #2, this one is a matte color so it is great with a clear gloss of some sort if you don’t care for the super matte feeling. I put good ol Carmex on over it and it worked like a charm!
5. Maybelline Superstay 24hr Lip Color in Constant Toast
Have you heard of Lipsense? This is the drugstore version of Lipsense at a fraction of the cost. I haven’t personally tried Lipsense to really know how comparable they are but this stuff does. Not. Come. Off. Literally, I have to scrub my lips with a wet wash cloth at night to get it all off and they even make a remover for it but I just haven’t cracked down and bought it. If you have an event to go to and don’t want your lip color to come off on your glass through the night, or on the cheeks of your babies as you smother them in kisses, this is what you need.
